For most of our work dual core will do for some even Pentium 4 or even AMD which even comes very cheap. we need even buy operating system as Linux is free open source operating system and Ubuntu Linux is one of the best as i had worked on it .
Even laptops when introduced where very costly but now you can get a dual core laptop under 2000 rupees.
Here i would like to mention one thing most people go for HP dell laptops. but most people think these are the best but in fact as a matter of fact HP is in losses and dell laptops are good but u can get other company laptops at lesser cheaper rate with great configuration but it does not mean they are not good. most people think if a product is costly it is good if it is cheap it is bad product but it is not all always true and in this case HP dell are US companies and do not manufacture all parts.
They buy parts from China taiwan and assemble them add some add ons and sell at higher price.
where as Asus which is Taiwan based company manufacturers all the parts so sells at less rate.
I would strongly suggest people should go for Asus laptop as it is very good.
Now then buy laptops starting from 6800 and desktops personal computers starting from 4800 bucks.
